Technology — Wi-Fi Integration

Your Wi-Fi Network Is Already an Occupancy Sensor

Connect your existing Cisco or Aruba access points to Occuspace and get floor-level and neighborhood-level occupancy intelligence — no new hardware, no installation, no wait.
Zero Hardware. Zero Hassle.

How Wi-Fi Integration Works

Occuspace connects to your existing Wi-Fi management console and applies its ML engine to turn raw signal data into accurate, anonymized occupancy intelligence — in hours, not months.

Connect Your Network

Occuspace integrates directly with your Cisco or Aruba management console. No agents on your APs, no firmware changes, no IT project.

ML Signal Analysis

Our machine learning engine interprets Bluetooth and Wi-Fi signal patterns from your access points, converting raw network telemetry into anonymized occupancy data.

Live Occupancy Data

Floor-level and neighborhood-level utilization data surfaces in the Occuspace portal — live counts, trends, peak patterns, and building comparisons.

What Wi-Fi Integration Reveals

Floor-Level Utilization
Know which floors are busy and which are underused — by hour, day, and week. Identify consolidation opportunities before your next lease decision.
Neighborhood Patterns
Understand how different neighborhoods within a floor are being used — collaboration areas, quiet zones, team neighborhoods — and where the gaps are.
Building Comparisons
Compare utilization across your entire portfolio at a glance. See which buildings justify their cost and which could be consolidated, subleased, or closed.
Peak & Trend Analysis
See when spaces fill up, when they empty out, and how patterns change over time. Make scheduling, staffing, and operations decisions based on real data.

When You Need More Granularity

Wi-Fi integration gives you the foundation. When you need finer detail than your AP placement supports — smaller zones, individual rooms, or desk-level presence — Occuspace sensors fill the gap with minimal hardware.
The Foundation

Wi-Fi Integration

Lights up your entire portfolio — every building, every floor — using infrastructure you already own. Most teams see live data the same day they connect.

Macro Sensors

When your AP placement doesn't give you the granularity you need for specific zones — or you want traffic flow and dwell time — add Macro sensors. Each one covers 2,000–3,000 sq ft and deploys in minutes.

Micro Sensors

For enclosed spaces — meeting rooms, phone booths, focus areas, individual desks — Micro sensors use mmWave radar for exact presence detection. No cameras.

Desk detection
Ghost reservations
HVAC automation
Most teams start with Wi-Fi and add sensors to the spaces that matter most. You expand at your own pace.

Supported Wi-Fi Platforms

Cisco

Integrates with Cisco DNA Center and Meraki Dashboard. Connect your existing Cisco infrastructure and start seeing occupancy data immediately.

Aruba (HPE)

Integrates with Aruba Central. Occuspace reads AP telemetry data directly — no agents, no firmware updates, no changes to your network configuration.
Using a different vendor? Talk to our team — we're actively expanding platform support.
No Cameras. No PII.

The Same Privacy Architecture, No Matter
the Source

Whether data comes from Wi-Fi access points or dedicated sensors, Occuspace's privacy architecture is identical. No personal data is ever collected, transmitted, or stored. Signal data is anonymized and aggregated by zone.

No Personal Data

Aggregate signal patterns only — never individual device identifiers. No one can be identified or tracked.

Zone-Level Aggregation

All data reported at the zone or floor level. No individual tracking, no behavioral profiling.

No Consent Required

No consent workflows, no privacy notices, no compliance risks. Privacy by design.
In Their Own Words

Trusted by 100+ Organizations

" We connected our Cisco network on Monday morning and had utilization data for our entire campus by the afternoon. No hardware, no contractors, no IT tickets — just data we'd been waiting months for. "

Common Questions

Do I need to install anything on my access points?

No. There’s no firmware to flash, and no app to load onto your APs, and no site visit. The integration is configured entirely within the management platform you already run (Aruba Central, Cisco DNA/Catalyst Center, Juniper Mist, or the Meraki Dashboard). Your access points already sense the surrounding Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signals; we simply enable that data to stream securely to Occuspace.

What level of detail can Wi-Fi integration provide?

Wi-Fi integration is designed for floor-level and large neighborhood-level insight: how busy each area is, when it peaks, how usage trends over time, and how spaces compare across a building or an entire portfolio. It delivers anonymized occupancy counts by zone, updated continuously in near real-time. For finer, space-specific granularity or individual meeting rooms you can pair it with Occuspace Macro and Micro Sensors.

How quickly can we be up and running?

Very quickly, because there’s nothing to install. Once your team applies the integration configuration in your management console and we exchange credentials, signal data begins flowing within minutes, and you’ll typically see occupancy insights the same day. Most customers are live within a couple hours.

Can I combine Wi-Fi integration with Occuspace sensors?

Yes and most customers do. Wi-Fi integration gives you broad coverage across floors and zones using the infrastructure you already own, while Macro and Micro Sensors add high-precision counts in specific spaces like conference rooms and smaller zones. Use Wi-Fi for breadth and sensors for depth, all unified in one platform.

Does Wi-Fi integration collect personal data?

No. No personal data is ever collected, transmitted, or stored. Device identifiers are irreversibly anonymized and never retained, so no individual or device can be identified or tracked over time. Occuspace keeps only anonymous occupancy data, aggregated by zone. Because privacy is built into the architecture, no user consent workflow or opt-in is required.

What if my Wi-Fi vendor isn't listed?

Today we support Cisco, Juniper Mist and Aruba (HPE), and we’re actively expanding to additional vendors. If yours isn’t listed yet, get in touch, our approach works with any platform capable of streaming raw Wi-Fi/BLE data, and we’ll let you know what’s possible or where it sits on our roadmap.
