Common Questions

How does the Micro work?

Micro uses mmWave sensing to count people.

Can the Micro uniquely identify people?

No. It's radar-based people counting, so it detects that people are there, but doesn't have the fidelity to uniquely identify them.

How quickly can we get live data after installing Micro?

Right away. Micro is plug-and-play in under 15 seconds and delivers occupancy in real time.

How big is the sensor?

About 1.9" × 1.9" × 1.1" (48 × 48 × 29 mm) — a little bigger than a quarter, so it blends into the room.

What kinds of spaces is Micro best suited for?

Small, enclosed spaces like meeting rooms, phone booths, and flex spaces — roughly up to ~450 sq ft per sensor.

Can Micro work alongside Macro sensors and WiFi access points?

Yes. Micro covers your smallest rooms while Macro and WiFi sensing handle larger areas, all unified in one Occuspace platform.

Does it need network cabling or a dedicated WiFi connection?

No dedicated WiFi connection is required, and there's no wiring, which is why IT teams love it.
